Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer | Environmental and industrial plants
Client: Based in Westchester County, our client offers integrated engineering, planning, design, construction, and operations services to public and private sector clients. Their multidisciplinary expertise includes environmental, education, structural, MEP, and energy services, supporting projects across institutional and corporate markets.
Description: Immediate need for a Senior Structural Design Engineer. Develop structural drawings, plans, and specifications for waste-water treatment plants. In-person for the first six months.
Responsibilities:
Lead the effort in the development of structural drawings and specifications.
Coordinate between disciplines.
Attend all internal meetings.
Preparation of structural calculations for plant renovations as well as new construction.
Review of shop drawings as well as other design services during construction.
Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and specialty structures.
Prepare design of associated piping, wastewater and sewers, etc.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis.
Ability to perform structural calculations for large industrial plants.
Proven experience with design of structural steel and concrete.
Past experience with environmental and industrial plants is a big plus.
Degreed Civil or Environmental Engineer
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Education: BS in Civil Engineering (with emphasis on structural) or Environmental Engineering required.
