Job Description: Immediate need for an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Princeton office. Proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication plans including one-line diagrams, and specifications.
Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations to support electrical design.
Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
Review electrical documents for areas of conflict.
Ensure that design is consistent with overall vision.
Work closely with clients and design team members.
Participate in the selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
Participate in preparing specifications and writing reports.
Coordinate work with other engineers and architects.
Attend meetings and communicate with clients.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 5 + years professional experience in Electrical design of systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Previous electrical design experience with an AE or MEP firm.
Understanding of the National Electrical Code and international building codes.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong initiative and willingness to succeed.
Ability to multitask with multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to thoroughly communicate thoughts and technical ideas
An EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
Education: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college
