Title: Intermediate – Level Assistant Project Manager | Queens College

Description: We are seeking a dynamic Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our client’s Queens College project. The right candidate will support project managers in coordinating construction activities, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the highest standard of quality. Project is Civil, Structural, Plumbing, and Electrical of an existing structure which will be closed. Work on-site hours from 8:00 – 4:00.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in project planning, estimating, and scheduling.
Maintain a log of Latest Contract Drawings and Specification and update as revisions are issued.
Ensure proper documentation of all project activities including; conversation logs, meeting minutes, tests, inspections, material delivery, Work Plans and Daily Reports.
Implement Document Control measures including; submittal files and logs, RFI’s, photographs, material delivery tracking, meeting minutes and preparing reporting information.
Manage and expedite resolution of RFI’s, submittals, work plans, cost estimates, etc.
Review Work Plans submitted by Contractors.
Establish the punch list process and required forms. Develop and maintain a list of action items/issues, resolve engineering problems.
Create Drawing packages or each Contract; enter drawing and specification data and drawing revisions.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in Construction Project Management, indicating a demonstrated ability in management and supervision.
Must have significant experience in effectively managing small contractors on multiple projects while adhering to budget and schedule.
Experience working with Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, or any other NYC or State agencies is a MUST
Excel, Microsoft Word, Procore and eBuilder.
Should have an engineering, construction management, or architecture degree or similar.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
